House Steward Position

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive House Steward to support the upkeep and functionality of the Clara McLean Healthcare Hospitality House. This role involves a combination of indoor and outdoor responsibilities, requiring physical stamina, technical aptitude, and a strong sense of organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities

Outdoor Duties :

Operate and maintain outdoor equipment such as leaf blowers, power washers, and large hoses.
Regularly wash first-floor windows to ensure a clean and polished appearance.
Assist with seasonal outdoor maintenance and special event setup as needed.

Indoor Duties :

Flip guest room mattresses on a quarterly basis to maintain comfort and longevity.

Shampoo carpets on a regular schedule and as needed for spot cleaning or after events.

Set up and break down meeting spaces, including furniture arrangement and equipment setup.

Maintain inventory of catering supplies and ensure timely restocking.

Assist with and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment for meetings and events.

Conduct monthly fire safety inspections and maintain accurate logs in compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in hospitality, facilities, or maintenance preferred. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs). and perform physically demanding tasks. Familiarity with basic maintenance tools and equipment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
