Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering SE, a full-service supplier to the automotive plastics industry, located in Winchester, TN has immediate opening for a Project Manager. The Project Manager oversees the operations of individual projects, usually with short-term, concrete deliverables. The project manager coordinates time, budget, and resources to complete work within the guidelines of the customer request and requirements. Serves as the main contact between customers and Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering, Inc. Additional duties include the following :
- Serves as the main link between customer and Hi-Tech S.E.
- Assist estimating in quoting new jobs as required.
- Attend design reviews (on / off site) as required.
- Quote all engineering changes (cost / timing) with input from the general manager
- Maintain all job related documentation in the job history books.
- Prepare project time lines and update the customer as required.
- Arrange transportation of jobs and initiate the appropriate documentation.
- Attend tool tryouts with the customer.
- Complete job lineups and communicate engineering changes, improvements, and timing to the general manager
- Complete dock audits before first shipment of tools (first shipment to customer plants).
- Answer questions from the customer and other management within Hi-Tech S.E. in regards to design data.
- Attend product meetings at the request of the customer.
- Initiate corrective / preventive action reports as required.
- Initiate subcontract purchase orders and follow-ups as required.
- Maintain a financial log of the assigned engineering project.
- Utilize problem solving techniques to determine further processing and disposition of non-conforming product.
- Conduct training of new / existing project engineering personnel, assisting with their professional growth.
- Support / enforce quality and environmental management system policies, procedures, and training.
Physical Requirements :
Work overtime as required by the Project general managerMaintain regular and predictable attendance.Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.Stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull continuously.Work in an environment with many different sounds and sound levels.Work with and / or around solvents, chemicals, irritants, and / or other potential allergens.Travel to customer facilities, training, other Hi-Tech facilities, etc. as required.Work in a self-directed, fast-pace environment.Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.Work in close proximity to others as required.Required Technical Skills and Experience :
