Key Job Details for Registered Nurse Location : Keyser, WV 26726 (Potomac Highlands – West Virginia healthcare jobs) Setting : 21-bed Medical / Surgical department (average census 15-16) Employment Type : Travel RN (Locum Tenens) Shift : 12-hour night shifts; weekends as scheduled Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 5 / 2025 – End : 1 / 4 / 2026) Charting System : EpicCare Inpatient EMR Scrub Color : Any color scrubs permitted Estimated Weekly Salary : $1840 - $1980 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (open to candidates awaiting West Virginia licensure) BLS certification (AHA required) At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Proficient in reading dysrhythmias and telemetry strips Experience with common medical-surgical diagnoses : CHF, COPD, diabetes (DM), hypertension (HTN), post-op ortho, laparoscopic cholecystectomy (lap chole) Comfortable using Epic EMR (Epic training provided) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in a 21-bed Med / Surg unit (nurse-to-patient ratio 1 : 5) Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for cardiac patients Collaborate with Patient Care Technicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team Facilitate admissions, discharges, and patient education Administer medications, including set-rate drips (Heparin) Operate CPAP equipment as needed Participate in block scheduling when available Attend orientation and Epic EMR training on day one Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med / Surg RN in Keyser, West Virginia and make a difference in patient care!
