Manufacturing Planner
You will be the Manufacturing Planner for the Production Planning & Control (PP&C) organization within Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) in Orlando, FL. Our team is the engine that ensures high-quality products are built on schedule, on budget, and with the right resources-by aligning procurement, operations, and manufacturing into a seamless, data-driven plan.
As the Manufacturing Planner, you will be the central hub that translates demand into feasible production schedules. You'll partner with procurement, operations, and engineering to create time-phased material plans, release work orders, and monitor execution-keeping the flow of parts and assemblies smooth, on-time, and cost-effective.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Coordinating with Procurement and Operations Management to develop time-phased plans for procured parts using MRP data.
- Tracking supply-chain actions to guarantee materials are ordered, received, and available when production needs them.
- Working with Manufacturing and Operations Management to define optimal lot-size strategies for "make" assemblies.
- Analyzing demand, releasing work orders, and ensuring engineering changes are applied promptly.
- Providing real-time status updates to keep production schedules on track.
- Identifying bottlenecks and driving continuous-improvement initiatives that boost efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting for senior leadership and program stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience / combined education, with 2+ years of professional experience; or a related Masters degree.Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, therefore must be a U.S. Citizen.Past experience with Make and Buy Planning, manufacturing and / or Make Planning experienceDemonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs.Desired Skills :
