Systems Engineer III

Overview

The Systems Engineer III will provide advanced technical expertise in the design, development, and integration of hybrid software, web, and hardware products. This role requires experience across the full lifecycle of system development — from initial specifications through design, coding, testing, rollout, and ongoing maintenance. The role supports the design and development of U.S. Navy Navigation Systems, ensuring system effectiveness, reliability, and compliance with mission requirements. Location : Virgina Beach, VA Clearance : Secret Position Type : Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation and integration of hybrid software, web, and hardware systems from concept to deployment.
• Integrate network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
• Evaluate overall project design considerations including technical feasibility, cost, schedule, and potential social impacts.
• Provide technical support for the design, development, and testing of U.S. Navy Navigation Systems.
• Ensure systems meet operational and technical requirements while adhering to established standards.
• Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and system performance evaluations.
• Support continuous improvement efforts, applying lessons learned to future designs and development processes.
