Lead Pediatric Nuclear Medicine Tech Full Time Days - 2506003209 at Children's Hospital of Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Function as a lead or resource person for personnel involved in Nuclear Medicine Procedures, under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the flow of work, delegate, supervise and guide staff in carrying out their duties; follow up on activities and resolve routine and complex problems to ensure safe and efficient departmental operation.
- Monitor the quantity and quality of work flow to ensure procedures are performed according to department standards.
- Assist with scheduling of and timekeeping for nuclear medicine technologists; may take call / standby as required by the department.
- Make recommendations for personnel actions by providing input for performance appraisals, hiring decisions and progressive disciplines up to termination; assist with monitoring performance improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with laws, government regulations, JC requirements and DMC policies; implement external and internal audit recommendations as directed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N).Required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation period.Two or more years progressively more responsible Nuclear Medicine Technologist work experience.Skills Required :Analytical and clinical skills necessary to determine the most age-appropriate method of providing requested radiographs specific to patient's physical ability and / or limitations.Interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with patients under physical / emotional stress and to follow physicians' verbal and written requests; ability to work in a culturally diverse atmosphere with various hospital personnel and / or patients.Technical knowledge to operate equipment including all specialized equipment and computers.Additional Information
