Facility Setting : Closed-door Long-Term Care Pharmacy

Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced Pharmacy Operations Leader to manage and optimize daily operations in a high-volume LTC pharmacy located in Bardonia. This is a critical leadership role with responsibility for driving team performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead and supervise pharmacy personnel including pharmacists, technicians, and support staff

Establish and uphold a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Manage the full medication workflow from procurement through dispensing in alignment with all applicable laws and standards

Track and evaluate pharmacy performance indicators such as fill rates, delivery times, and error reports

Develop and enforce operational policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Create and manage the pharmacys operational budget while maintaining high service standards

Support the integration of new pharmacy technologies to improve efficiency and reduce errors

Collaborate with nursing, administrative, and medical teams to ensure seamless care coordination for LTC residents

Facility Details

System Used : Frameworks (training available if needed)

Daily Volume : Approximately 600 prescriptions

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday (daytime hours)

Flexibility for evenings or weekends as operational needs arise

Requirements

Valid and active New York State Pharmacist License

Minimum 5 years of management-level pharmacy experience , ideally in a long-term care or institutional setting

Proven track record in compliance oversight, staff leadership, and process optimization
