Job Description Summary : At GEICO, our associates are the heart of the company. We're looking for Business Developers in our Tampa, FL office who are driven, solution-oriented, and ready to take our business-to-business agency sales team to the next level. As a Business Developer, you will deliver strategic sales initiatives with a defined territory of agencies and build their book of GEICO business through approved underwriting practices. Business Developers will use their strong ability to influence, along with analytical and decision-making skills to provide guidance and support that promotes preference for GEICO products and services. This role acts as a subject matter expert of product lines and systems to provide recommendations that improve customer experience, sales closure, and retention with new and existing customers in the business-to-business space. Business Developers help their agencies achieve sales targets through actionable goal setting and understanding of their business needs. Location : This position requires the individual to work full-time onsite in the Tampa, FL office.

Qualifications & Skills : 2 years sales / consulting experience (business-to-business sales a plus). Must have prior experience with commercial insurance OR relevant commercial auto and trucking industry experience. Highly effective oral and written communicator must be comfortable presenting, persuading, and networking through multiple channels (in-person, virtually, over the phone, etc.). Ability to work individually and as a team collaborator with strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. Experience interpreting and analyzing data to make informed decisions that support growth initiatives. Knowledge of industry changes, technology, and desire for continued learning. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills : A bachelor's degree. Prior experience working with independent insurance agents. Prior experience with caseload management and customer follow-up. Prior experience working with different lines of insurance a plus (P&C, Commercial, Life / Health).
