Overview Director, Publicity - Alamo

Publicity role at Sony Music Entertainment (Alamo and Santa Anna). The candidate will develop and execute publicity strategy and campaigns for our roster of artists across media formats, blending a press narrative with a broader marketing campaign. Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential.

What you'll do Work with the publicity team to create, implement and manage strategic national publicity campaigns for an evolving roster of artists, including television appearances, print opportunities, digital / web / content opportunities, podcasts, social media takeovers, etc.

Devise publicity campaigns designed to relay the artist’s narrative and grow an audience.

Manage and cultivate relationships with key decision makers and tastemakers across all media.

Coordinate multiple projects and relationships with artists, managers, and internal teams (marketing, digital, A&R).

When applicable, cover television performances, photo shoots, events, and award shows, and prepare talent and media for interviews and appearances.

Attend or cover shows, events, and company functions as needed.

Write, edit and distribute press materials such as bios, press releases, and quote sheets.

Who you are 6+ years of prior publicity and / or digital music industry experience.

Strong media contacts and relationships across music, lifestyle and fashion media.

Knowledge of the media industry and its major players.

Deep understanding of music culture and current events.

Ability to generate and execute creative, buzzworthy ideas for coverage.
