The Elco Corporation, a company of Italmatch USA Corporation, is seeking a Production Planner for its Cleveland, OH, manufacturing site.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The production planner is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize the company’s productive capacity, as well as managing inventory levels. Acts on order releases, action messages, and exception notifications from the company system.

Incumbent will plan and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity. Analyze sales order releases concerning capacity planning and material requirements. Manage inventory levels, schedules, and availability of selected items — whether manufactured or purchased — to meet production schedules. Provides CS with shipping and delivery date information. Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department, and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.

Key duties include, but are not limited to the following :

• Monitor SAP for customer sales orders entered by customer service.
• Check available inventory, confirm shipments with Customer Service.
• Review products needed with customer service.
• Communicate with Customer Service on delays / conflicts in meeting orders.
• Notify CS of lot # numbers for shipments, enabling CS to invoice customers.
• Error handling (correct any batches that show on the COGI screen)
• Material & Batch Movement (complete transfers that are needed for customer orders or inventory adjustments – through MMRs.)
• Complete inventory adjustments (quantities that are added to or taken out of SAP)
• Maintain and control all MMRs for all Bulk loads shipping out – next day & inventory control.
• Work with purchasing to ensure that the proper amount of material is ordered.
• Place commodity production orders as needed.
• Work on weekly utility and production reports as requested by the Plant Manager.
• Manage an accurate inventory of warehouse materials.
• Receive all raw materials & finished goods into SAP that have been ordered by the Purchasing Dept.

Must pass Department of Homeland Security background check, pre-placement physical, and pre-employment drug-screen.
