Job Title : Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Location : Mid-Atlantic Division
Job Type : Full-Time
Travel : Up to 100%
Salary : Hourly Range : $27.15 - $43.45 and benefit package per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Duties / Responsibilities / Physical Requirements :
- Dismantle and reassemble gasoline & diesel equipment using various hand tools and / or hoists
- Repair & replace major components, damaged and worn parts
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Determine nature and extent of equipment failures
- Identify required repair parts & supplies
- Document maintenance and repair work performed
- Record parts and supply usage
- Access and repair components on heavy equipment with agility
- Climb onto, into, and out of equipment using ladders
- Work on uneven surfaces, climbing, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing / pulling, and reaching
- Maintain bodily coordination and dexterity of hands and feet
- Ensure quality and timely completion of work as scheduled
- Work productively in personal protective equipment in all weather conditions
- Perform safety-sensitive tasks in accordance with environmental and safety policies
- Maintain regular and predictable performance
Education / Experience :
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years' experience repairing heavy equipment.
