Position Overview
Were seeking an experienced Area Quality and Safety Officer to lead clinical quality strategy, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance across a complex healthcare system. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for driving a culture of safety and high reliability by leveraging best practices in quality, analytics, and team development. Required Qualifications
Masters degree in Business, Health Care, Public Administration, or a directly related field
Minimum ten years of combined experience in clinical and management roles within a health plan, healthcare system, or multi-provider environment
Minimum nine years in a leadership role (with or without direct reports)
At least eight years of experience in clinical settings or healthcare administration
At least seven years of experience in healthcare or a related field
Minimum six years of experience using databases and spreadsheets
Minimum four years of experience delivering training programs
Minimum four years managing operational or project budgets
Current RN license
CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) or other recognized quality certification
High Reliability Organization (HRO) training
Experience with Joint Commission, CMS, and CDPH regulatory standards
Preferred Qualifications
Performance Improvement (PI) training or certification
Ten or more years in quality or clinical leadership roles
Experience implementing Daily Management Systems
Background in team-based quality improvement initiatives
