Retail Associate - Rochester
The primary responsibility of the sales associate is to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external visitors to the store. Sales associates are responsible for assisting with customer questions, ringing sales into the POS system, stock replenishment, store cleanliness, inventories and settling cash and credit sales at the end of the day.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Handle merchandise sales
- Product knowledge and stock replenishment
- Perform periodic inventories
- Process transactions using the POS system and reconcile cash transactions
- Maintain store cleanliness
- Maintain open communication with supervisor at all times
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident
Minimum Qualifications for the Position :
A high school diploma or equivalentCustomer service / retail sales experience is preferredPoint of Sale Terminal (POS) system / cash handling experience preferredMust stand and sell merchandise to customers during shiftSome lifting of boxes is necessary, up to fifty (50) poundsBe able to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays as neededCritical Competencies
