Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient rehab unit with variable shifts and weekend requirements.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an inpatient rehab unit within a hospital setting
  • Patient assignments are typically five patients per RN on night shifts
  • Night shifts do not have a nursing assistant (NA) on duty; day and evening shifts have NA support if census exceeds seven patients
  • Varied 12-hour shifts including both days (0700–1930) and nights (1930–0730)
  • Weekend shifts are required
  • Floating to other units within the hospital as needed
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • No more than one holiday request for time off will be accepted if multiple holidays fall during the assignment
  • Nurses must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
  • Returning travelers must take a one-year break in service after working a cumulative total of one year as a traveler at this facility
  • Participation in any natural disaster or emergency response activity is required
  • Required to complete orientation modules during onboarding
  • Two employment references are required, with at least one from a supervisor

  • Active WI or compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Current BLS certification (AHA required)
  • Minimum one year of RN experience required
  • Annual compliance with Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), use of AIDET, and hourly rounding
