This position is open for recruitment and fully funded following the 2025 Special Legislative Session.
The role : Bring your customer service experience to the Baker City DMV as a transportation services office leader. In this vital role, you will assist the manager in office operations, help customers with complex transactions, monitor performance standards for staff and be a key factor in ensuring customers receive the exceptional customer service our DMV is known for. Minimum qualifications :
Four years of public contact / customer service experience which involved dealing with the public in-person or by phone providing information about services and programs. At least two years of this experience must involve explaining and interpreting rules, programs and procedures and explaining requirements and gaining compliance. AND Experience or training using computers to retrieve and input data. AND Three months experience collecting money and making change. Completion of an associate's degree will substitute for one year of the public contact experience.
Special qualifications :
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid US driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
