About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years preferred, but will consider less with strong skill set.

License : Active RN License (MD or Compact License required at time of submission)

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience
• Patient ratio experience of 1 : 4
• Charting system experience (preferred : Epic)
• Community hospital experience required
• Travel experience preferred

Description :

Seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for day shifts.

The position requires accepting 36 or 48-hour schedules.

Every other weekend is required.

Holidays will be required as scheduled.

Candidates will need to float within the department as needed.

The average daily census is 130 patients.

The facility has 47 beds, with patient demographics ranging from infants to geriatrics.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume emergency room, but it is not a trauma center.

Key responsibilities include managing patients with a variety of conditions and performing emergency procedures.

Candidates should be proficient in using various medical equipment and have strong clinical skills.

Patient diagnoses include everything from infections to acute psychosis.

Specific skills required include intubation, central line care, and drug overdose management.

Working in this role requires effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

All candidates must provide satisfactory professional references from recent employers.

This position may involve specific compliance requirements, including certifications, which must be completed prior to the start date.
