$1,040 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Dialysis Technician

Profession : Dialysis Technician

Specialty : Staff Augmentation

Duration : 26 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 6 : 15 AM - 2 : 15 PM

Experience : Minimum years of experience required

License : Valid driver's license required

Certifications : Relevant certifications required

Must-Have : Ability to follow established protocols and document patient care

Description :

Prepare dialysate according to established procedures and patient prescriptions.

Obtain and document pre-dialysis vital signs, including weight and temperature.

Inspect patients’ dialysis access and initiate dialysis according to unit protocol and patient prescription.

Measure, calculate, and adjust blood flow rates according to established protocols.

Administer anticoagulants according to unit protocols and prescriptions.

Change fluid removal rates and administer Normal Saline as directed.

Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, documenting observations appropriately.

Document patient treatment parameters and communicate patient conditions to registered nurses.

Monitor patients and equipment, responding to alarms and adjusting treatment parameters as needed.

Respond to dialysis-related emergencies and initiate CPR in case of cardiac or respiratory arrest.

Discontinue dialysis and establish hemostasis according to unit protocol.

Inspect, clean, and dress access sites according to unit protocol.

Obtain and record post-dialysis vital signs, including weight and temperature.

Verify absence of residual sterilants and take fluid samples for testing.

Discard dialysis supplies and sanitize equipment according to manufacturer and unit protocols.

Communicate emotional, medical, psychosocial, and nutritional concerns to registered nurses when needed.

Under the direction of a registered nurse, monitor and document patient vascular access status.

Reinforce treatment care with patients.

Ensure adequate patient care supplies and monitor inventories.

Assist nursing staff in administering basic treatments like hemodialysis therapy.

Maintain professional conduct, good communication skills, and confidentiality in patient care.

Participate in quality assurance and cost containment programs.

Engage in individual and group projects as directed by management.

Perform other duties as assigned.
