Senior Project Engineer – Bay Area

With a track record of excellence and steady growth across the West Coast, the company is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (SPE) to join its Bay Area team.
Position Overview
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and coordinating project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. You’ll work alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and design teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional looking to grow within a respected and employee-owned builder.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive project success
- Generate and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs
- Assist with subcontractor buyout, procurement, and billing processes
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality control metrics
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes
- Support estimating, planning, and technical input as needed
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior project engineers and interns
- Collaborate with Superintendents and Project Managers on day-to-day site and project needs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexityStrong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detailProficiency in MS Office; exposure to project controls software (Prolog, Timberline, or similar) a plusFamiliarity with scheduling tools (Primavera) and BIM / LEAN processes desirableExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environmentWhy Join?
