Overview
Gold's Gym is seeking a General Manager to provide world-class service to our clubs and members. The role requires in-depth knowledge of company products and programs, building a culture of teamwork, and driving performance in service and fitness.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and manage a fully engaged, high-performing membership team aligned with company initiatives and culture.
- Ensure project / department milestones and goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
- Enforce club rules, policies, and proper execution of procedures.
- Maintain staffing through recruiting, interviewing, hiring recommendations to the general manager.
- Drive results and continuous improvement in Service and Fitness categories through business acumen, relationships, communication, and accountability of department heads.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily / weekly / monthly club functions to maximize club profitability with a member-centric focus.
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and nurture friendly and inclusive team members.
- Train and mentor club leaders, provide coaching, accountability, and exemplify high standards.
- Problem-solve obstacles to guarantee outstanding member and team experiences; foster trust through delegation and empowerment.
- Guide department leaders in setting goals and applying club strategies to achieve individual and team career goals.
- Cross-train to expand mindsets and skills; transfer skills to enable innovative solutions.
- Foster a culture of teamwork across club functions and leverage diverse strengths of team members.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to grow the member community.
Qualifications / MUST HAVES
3-5 years of progressive management experience supervising 3-10 employees with measurable development outcomes.5-7 years of broad retail / hospitality / operations experience with emphasis on high execution and turnover.Experience managing P&L and analyzing trend reports; strong math / analytical skills.Proven success in building or rebuilding teams in a collaborative environment.Excellent oral and written communication with strong listening skills.Experience turning around operationally and / or financially deficient departments or teams.Experience applying strategy and delegation to achieve results.High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.CPR and AED certification required.Bilingual preferred.This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs, standing or walking for extended periods, and maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance in a clean uniform.

Salary : $70,000.00-$85,000.00
