Duties and Responsibilities :
Read blueprints and check part dimensions with appropriate measuring instrumentsMake adjustments on tool offsetsUnderstand company procedures for tagging, inspecting and other necessary procedures relevant to the positionFollow lean manufacturing systems in placeQualification Requirements :
1-3 years’ experience in machining in corresponding departmentPerform in-process inspection on machined partsWork with supervisor and quality department to ensure parts are made to customer specificationsEnsure all tools and gages used are properly calibrated and up to dateObserve all safety practices and procedures, performing preventative maintenanceFollow strict safety procedures in maintaining a neat and orderly workstationMust be able to be flexible and work overtime when necessaryEnvironment & Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate effectively (talk / hear).May involve prolonged periods of both sitting and standing depending on task requirements.Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; prolonged magnified inspection may be required, which can lead to eye strain.Requires good hand-eye coordination and dexterity in hands, arms, and fingers, including the ability to grasp and manipulate small components.Frequent use of computers and other standard office or manufacturing equipment.May involve handling of oils, solvents, and cleaning solutions—lab coats provided to minimize exposure.Typically performed in a clean environment; employees are expected to help maintain cleanliness standards.Safety glasses are required at all times; additional safety training may be required depending on the area.The work is performed in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are generally loud.May rotate between different workstations or shift tasks during the production process based on operational needs.
