As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Government Facility in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents within the government facility.
  • Assist with access control and check identification to verify entry authorization when required.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services personnel when needed.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on security-related incidents and daily activities.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures while representing Allied Universal at the government location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by law.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Possess a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
