Overview
Senior Engineer – Finance & HR at Center for Elders' Independence (PACE organization). Our organization uses an interdisciplinary team approach to care planning and implementing high quality, affordable, and integrated health care services for the elderly. The Center includes Adult Day Health Centers and primary care clinics, promoting participant autonomy and quality of life.
We are seeking a Senior Engineer – Finance to oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of mission-critical financial applications within our organization. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, reliability and scalability of financial software, and to manage system integrations and ongoing improvements in our financial technology stack.
The Position
Senior Engineer – Finance to oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of mission-critical financial applications; collaborate with cross-functional teams; manage integrations and drive continuous improvements in financial technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, business analysts, and stakeholders) to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet regulatory standards and support business goals.
- Oversee integration of financial applications with other enterprise systems (CRM, banking systems, third-party data sources); ensure accurate, efficient, and secure data flow across platforms.
- Monitor performance of financial applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to improve reliability, performance and scalability.
- Ensure robust security measures and regulatory compliance for financial applications.
- Lead projects from initiation to completion, manage timelines, resources and priorities; coordinate with product owners and departments to meet business needs and deadlines.
- Documentation & Training : create / maintain technical documentation; develop training materials and conduct end-user training; provide ongoing user support and troubleshooting.
Education & Experience
Associate's degree in computer science, information technology, finance, or related field.5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on financial applications.Proven experience with financial systems, enterprise applications, and accounting software.Technical Skills
Deep understanding of financial systems, accounting software, financial reporting tools, and payment gateways.Expertise in cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools for CI / CD.Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and financial auditing processes.Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives.Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in financial systems.Familiarity with PRINCE2 or other project management methodologies.Basic programming / scripting skills (Python / JavaScript) for automation or troubleshooting.Experience with databases (SQL / NoSQL) and reporting tools for extracting data from financial applications.Seniority level
