Keep our communities fed. Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities. As a Yard Person, you will be responsible for ensuring that yard operations are running efficiently, as per company standards.

Pay : $17.00 per hour + .75 shift differential

Location : 15515 Woodham Drive. Houston, Texas, 77073

Start Time : Mon - Fri 7 : 00 p.m.- 3 : 00 a.m.

Schedule : 5 days on / 2 days off

You will contribute by :

• Ensuring that yard inventories are completed once daily.
• Conducting yard inspection of trailers to determine which ones still have product to be unloaded and determine where it needs to go; communicate this information to the Yard Jockeys.
• Monitoring live appointments (outside carriers) and backhauls (C&S Yard Jockeys) by our fleet to control congestion in the yard.
• Ensuring that outside loads are put in the proper doors by appointment
• Collecting all drops / backhaul bills and other various documents, as needed.
• Managing inbound freight bills.
• Ensuring that the yard is kept clean by outside carriers.
