Job Description : As a Patrol Officer in Littlefield, your primary responsibility will be to patrol designated areas within the city limits to maintain public safety, prevent crime, and enforce laws and ordinances. This is a non-supervisory role that requires responding to emergency calls and routine complaints promptly. Duties include investigating accidents and suspected crimes, completing necessary reports, maintaining communication with superiors, ensuring a visible police presence in the community, providing assistance to the public, and appearing in court as necessary. Additionally, you will attend mandatory training and maintain city-owned property.

Responsibilities :

• Enforce federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
• Respond to and investigate reported vehicle accidents.
• Investigate suspected crimes and offenses promptly.
• Complete and submit required reports to the Chief of Police.
• Keep superiors informed of incidents and unusual events.
• Maintain a visible police presence and communicate effectively with the public.
• Appear and testify in court as required.
• Attend department-required training.
• Maintain city-owned property.
• Provide assistance to the public.
• Perform other duties as assigned by authorities.

Requirements :

High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate with 12 semester hours from an accredited college or university (transcripts required for G.E.D. holders).
