Reliability Engineer (Acme Corrugated Box Co., Inc., Hatboro, PA) : Utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (“CMMS”) to identify repeat failures on industrialized equipment, generating reports for the same, and sharing both findings and proposed solutions with maintenance and production teams; Prioritizing repeat failure impacts in collaboration with maintenance and production teams, as well as supply partners and manufacturing service managers, while also simultaneously designing critical engineering solutions to remediate or eliminate repeat failures on assets; Partnering with maintenance planners to adjust the prioritization of project management tasks where required to address repeat failures, which includes reevaluating current Company priorities in the event of repeat downtime situations as well as new requirements for changes in consumables due to higher running hours / rotations on industrialized machinery; Leveraging CMMS to input both changes in tasks as well as work request inputs for corrective actions, providing engineering representation for decision-making on all new work requests, and assisting operations, production, and maintenance team leaders in defining those new work requests; Defining the overall scope of an assignment, which will include developing return on investment analysis estimation procedures for assigned revision work, outlining job scope, labor estimates, and specific materials to be used, and assembling the requisite planning packages for all revision work; Monitoring all emergency and break-in work orders in their area of responsibility to determine if a formal failure analysis or further action is required and initiating and directing root cause failure analysis; Overseeing predictive maintenance measures throughout the manufacturing plant, including but not limited to infrared thermography scans, motor maintenance, oil analysis, and vibration analysis; Coordinating all predictive maintenance events / visits in conjunction with planners, ensuring that all reports are saved to our Company’s internal drive, and entering all follow-up work into our CMMS within 48 hours of receiving reports; Collecting and reporting historical data for the purposes of performing accurate, reliability centered maintenance procedures and developing forward-thinking maintenance strategies for proactive risk mitigation; Partnering with both our operations and production teams in the execution of critical equipment assessments, leading reliability review for new assets throughout the capital project process, analyzing life cycle cost reports for new equipment, and executing “engineer-out” failure projects. In order to perform the above tasks, the following experience and skills are required : Experience in root cause analysis; Experience working with Manufacturing equipment and individual parts, such as bearings, cylinders, pumps, belts, PLCs, photo eyes; Experience in managing predictive and preventive maintenance programs; Experience working on continuous improvement projects; Experience in overseeing Food Safety operations; Experience with advanced MS Office applications, including MS Project; Experience with AutoCAD; Experience with CMMS. Requires Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field, and at least 5 years of experience as a Facilities / Reliability Engineer or related occupation in Manufacturing.
