Event Coordinator / Project Coordinator
My client, a leading global automotive company recognized for its innovation and commitment to excellence, is seeking an Event / Project Coordinator to support onboarding and employee engagement programs, events, and internal communications. This role provides hands-on exposure to talent management strategies and tools while contributing to meaningful employee experiences across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding Coordination Coordinate logistics for all new hires, including orientation scheduling, integration activities, and processing of onboarding documentation Support execution of the new hire cultural immersion program, including planning, materials preparation, and follow-up
Event Management & Employee Engagement Plan and manage internal events such as employee appreciation days, team-building activities, leadership forums, and company-wide celebrations Coordinate logistics for events including venue booking, catering, invitations, registration tracking, and follow-up Assist with execution of service award programs, including milestone tracking, recognition event planning, and award distribution
Inbox & Communication Management Serve as point of contact for department-related inquiries, responding to messages and escalating as appropriate Support shared inboxes on a rotating basis, ensuring timely responses and appropriate routing
Administrative Support Provide general administrative support including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and preparing reports Assist with ad hoc projects and operational tasks in support of business objectives Occasionally facilitate onboarding sessions or employee engagement activities
Qualifications High school diploma required; bachelors degree preferred 13 years of experience in events, training coordination, HR support, or administrative roles preferred Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to thrive in ambiguity Excellent communication and presentation skills with proven project management / event coordination experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams); basicintermediate Excel skills including formulas and data entry Willingness to learn systems such as SuccessFactors, SAP, LinkedIn, KnowBe4, and Articulate360 Strong analytical skills and creativity in problem solving Team player with initiative and ability to work independently on routine tasks Automotive industry experience a plus
