Moulder Operator

A Carter Custom Millwork Moulder Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of machinery to produce custom and stock moulding.  This is accomplished by ensuring knives are accurately placed in machines, lumber quality meets standards as well as moulding produced is of high quality.  Adheres to safety regulations when handling material and equipment.  A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Possess knowledge in using a variety of tools Must be a self starter and able to work unsupervised Ability to do repetitious work Must be able to work at a fast pace Ability to work in a team environment Responsibilities          Production Maintains and ensures machinery is in good condition.  Places knifes in machine according to design template to produce custom and stock moulding.  Ensures custom orders are to customer’s or stock product’s specifications.  Ensures all orders are completed accurately and according to schedule.         Inventory and Quality Control Maintains inventory on stock moulding.  Ensures lumber meets quality standards and specifications.  Audits quality and reports daily production tallies to the Production Manager.       Safety Adheres to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment.  Handles material in a safe and appropriate manner.  Reports any defects or safety issues immediately.
