Human Resources Generalist

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as Human Resources Generalist. Position Status : Full-time, Day Shift. Position Location : Hybrid. Standard Working Hours : 8 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM (ET).

Expectations for this Role :

• Delivers service in a professional and efficient manner, providing prompt assistance while managing expectations to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
• Provides real-time, accurate, and comprehensive responses to telephone and written inquiries regarding general HR-related issues, policies, procedures, and processes
• Escalates complex issues, where applicable
• Processes employee-related transactions accurately based on research, employee-specific information, and process guidelines
• Maintains appropriate documentation and records for HR-related cases in the HR Help Desk
• Support the continuing transformation of HR via HR process implementation and the continuous technological improvements in Workday
• Develop, deploy and execute solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation
• Provides effective application and interpretation of company policies and procedures
• Ensures consistent, equal, and fair treatment of all employees
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
• All other duties as requested
• Bachelor's Human Resources or a related field or equivalent education, training, and experience
• Requires a minimum of 3 years of related HR experience
• Preferred Education / Experience : Prefer 4-6 years related work experience or relevant military experience
• 4+ years of experience in Human Resources
• 4+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding
