Job Summary / Description :

Arizona’s Family is looking for a Digital Content Producer with a passion for innovative online storytelling who embraces change and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This person must be an avid news consumer and understand what drives users to social media and digital platforms. They’re effective working as part of a team and independently. We approach content as a screen-agnostic experience and reach our audience on all platforms, from the web to TikTok, podcasts, and streaming apps.

Digital content producers are leaders in our newsroom. They’re engaged in the community and understand what makes a story unique and important. They share enterprise stories and get out of the newsroom to tell them.

Duties / Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Produce original and engaging stories that showcase the best of the Arizona’s Family brand for all of our digital platforms, including streaming and social media.
• Calmly cover breaking news, weather, and traffic alerts with urgency, accuracy, and context, and deliver on all platforms.
• Copy edit reporter articles for accuracy, spelling, and grammar.
• Collaborate with leadership, reporters, anchors, producers, editors, and photographers to create and optimize daily and planned content.
• Monitor trends and social engagement through Social News Desk, CrowdTangle, Chartbeat, and Google Analytics.
• Understand and prioritize Search Engine Optimization when writing and posting articles.
• Make data-driven decisions to optimize engagement and curate the AZFamily app and homepage.
• Uphold the journalistic integrity of your own work and your peers by exercising sound news judgment and ethics.
• Assist with assignment desk duties as needed.
