Job Description

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Walpole| $37–$40 Per Visit | Flexible Schedule | Comprehensive Benefits

Proudly Voted a Top Place to Work by the Boston Globe and USA Today in 2024 — because we take care of our people like you take care of your patients.

Let’s be honest — you didn’t become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) just to count reps and chase paperwork. You’re here to help people regain independence, one adaptive technique at a time. At Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS), we’re clinician-owned, which means we actually understand what it’s like in the field. No micromanaging, no mileage mystery math — just real support, flexible schedules, and a team that gets it.

We’re growing fast (on purpose), and we’re looking for a Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the Walpole residential area of Massachusetts who are ready to ditch the cookie-cutter hours and make a difference — without burning out.

Why You’ll Love It Here :

  • Competitive Per Visit Pay : $37–$40 — because “just doing exercises” is doing a lot.
  • Flexible Scheduling : Work mornings, afternoons, or the sweet spot in between.
  • Full-Time Benefits : dental and vision — the works.
  • Mileage Reimbursement : $0.62 / mile — we won’t let your gas tank suffer.
  • Professional Development : Learn, grow, and stay sharp without the yawns.

What You'll Be Doing :

  • Provide in-home occupational therapy treatments under the guidance of a licensed OT (no trust falls, we promise).
  • Track progress, adapt plans, and help patients crush their daily goals.
  • Teach patients and caregivers how to safely do the things that matter — from brushing teeth to mastering the microwave.
  • Document clearly and efficiently in our user-friendly EMR.
  • Deliver care that’s hands-on, heart-forward, and never boring.
  • ________________________________________

Why VRNS is actually different :

We’re not here to overload you with visits or bury you in bureaucracy. We partner with specialized programs like the Acquired Brain injury (ABI) Waiver Program, which means steady, consistent caseloads — and the flexibility to live your life, too. Plus, our support team is always a phone call away (and they answer!)

    What We’re Looking For :

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) , licensed in Massachusetts
  • 1+ year of clinical experience
  • Great communicator with a sense of humor and a love for teamwork
  • Ability to work independently, without feeling like you’re on an island
  • EMR experience preferred (ours won’t crash your soul)
  • Home health experience is a plus, but not required — we’ll train you!
  • ________________________________________

Our recruiters offer interviews early, late, and on weekends — whatever fits your life.

Apply today and find out what it’s like to feel appreciated and have a flexible, rewarding career.
