Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Marquette, MI 49855 (Upper Peninsula – Michigan healthcare jobs)

Setting : Acute Medical / Surgical Unit at Level II Trauma Center

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), rotating weekends

Weekly Hours : 36 hours guaranteed

Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 24 / 2025 – End : 2 / 23 / 2026)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2200 - $2360 per week

Patient Ratio : 5 : 1 to 6 : 1

Patient Population : Adult and geriatric (ages 18+)

Electronic Health Record : Cerner

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a medical / surgical nursing unit

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

ACLS certification required

Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to work independently

Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced healthcare environments

Willingness to float to similar units as needed

Compliance with dress code : Galaxy Blue or Navy scrubs

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy med / surg floor

Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform physician-ordered treatments

Utilize clinical equipment including telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps

Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EHR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Respond effectively to medical emergencies and act appropriately in high-pressure situations

Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment for patients and staff
