3-5 Must Haves

5-10 years experience in Data Warehousing, Data Integration or Data Engineering Projects

Expertise with Cloud Databricks

Proficient in SQL and Azure

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field preferred

5-10 years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data integration or Data Engineering projects

Experience in Azure Databricks

Practical experience of data modeling and impact of models on KPIs

Experience with interacting with other On Prem ERP / ETL systems e.g. Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, Cognos, Netezza Performance servers (these are the ones Selective uses so it s not mandatory to have experience with these systems, but the candidate should have similar exposure)

Experience working within Azure ecosystem

Experience in any of these analytical platforms - Power BI, AzureML, Databricks or Synapse

Experience using Python or Scala

Strong hands-on experience as a Data Engineer

Proficient in SQL

Expertise with Cloud Databricks

Solid understanding of analytics, data visualization, and building data products

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business teams

Collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about building high-quality data solutions

Comfortable asking the right questions and diving deep into technical problems

Excited to work primarily in engineering while supporting stakeholders as needed

Ability to effectively work well with people in other departments and / or outside of the enterprise

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Nice-to-Haves :

Experience in Azure DevOps and GitHub

P and C Insurance experience is HIGHLY

Experience with ML Ops, enterprise reporting, or large-scale data platforms

Strong prior ETL background preferred (Informatica Power Center, Cognos, ETC)
