SQL Server Database Administrator

SMS is seeking a SQL Database Administrator to provide AFRL Rocket Lab with qualified support staff to execute day-to-day operations and maintenance within the NOC. This effort provides support to the network / server infrastructure and equipment within the AFRL Rocket Lab.

Overview of Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance on Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and higher, and serve as a liaison for database related queries and technical support between NOC and customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance on Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and higher.
• Assist in the development and implementation of enterprise database backup, recovery, and failover procedure.
• Serve as a liaison for database related queries and technical support between NOC and customers.
• Triage Network Operation Center level server ticket utilizing Web Help Desk.
• Provide intermediate level network support and troubleshooting.
• Provide support, administration, and maintenance for AFRL Rocket Lab specialized information systems.
• Daily monitor of network and storage devices.
• Monitor and maintain uninterruptible power supply (UPS) devices.
• Document the problem with the technical detail(s) within the Web Help Desk ticket.
