This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

At Blue Origin, you'll apply your technical expertise and leadership to shape the future of space exploration. As an Avionics Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the New Glenn Rocket program, collaborating with a skilled team to design, develop, and qualify mission-critical avionics hardware, enabling reliable and reusable spaceflight to advance our vision of millions living and working in space.

As part of a small, hard-working and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for supporting and representing the Electrical Harness Design team at our internal Electrical Harness Manufacturing Shop. This is a hands-on position that will involve you in all aspects of engineering, design, fabrication, installation and test.

Responsibilities :

• Answer all design related questions coming from our internal Electrical Harness Manufacturing Shop.
• Lead and coordinate the selection of harness components and hardware, connectors, backshells, cable and wire.
• Understanding and application of EMI / RFI and harness shielding.
• Creation of Non-Conformances (NC) items in our internal system.
• Help with the creation of Non-Conformances (NC) dispositions.
• Create / update redline drawings for the 2D electrical harness drawings.
• Release Redline drawings in Windchill.
• Lead and coordinate any improvement initiatives associated to increase rate, productivity, and efficiency at our internal Electrical Harness Manufacturing Shop.
• Lead, coordinate and identify any initiatives and updates required in the design engineering to facilitate automation during harness manufacturing.
• Lead and coordinate process updates and improvements based on our internal Electrical Harness Manufacturing Shop feedback.
• Provide technical guidance for harness manufacturing.
• Support the assembly and testing of cables and harnesses.
• Report on activity schedule and technical status.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements.
