AI Engineer

As a Machine Learning Scientist, you'll help shape the future of AI at Best Buy. You'll work on real-world problems that impact millions of customers, using your skills in machine learning and software engineering to build smart, scalable solutions. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate across teams, dive deep into data, and bring innovative ideas to life. If you love solving complex challenges and want to make a meaningful impact, this is the role for you.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll do

• Designing and developing large-scale AI solutions leveraging state-of-the-art techniques
• Utilizing broad and deep knowledge of machine learning and software engineering to contribute to the roadmap of Best Buy's core AI capabilities
• Building real products that influence and enhance the lives of millions of people and drive and deliver tens of millions of dollars in impact to Best Buy's bottom line
• Optimizing inference latency to enable real-time ML serving for millions of Best Buy customers daily
• Working with both the ML Science and Data Engineering teams to design the training / serving data schema for input features as well as Request / Response data contracts during inference.
