The Business Analyst (BA) plays a key role in driving data-based decision-making across pricing and product strategy. This position is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and recommending improvements to pricing models, customer-specific agreements, and product offerings. The BA ensures consistency with contractual terms, identifies opportunities for margin improvement, and supports business growth by providing actionable insights.
Responsibilities
Pricing & Contracts
- Serve as the primary authority for all questions related to pricing and products.
- Analyze input-cost data and recommend quarterly surcharge rates and potential base price adjustments.
- Provide strategies to manage pricing for individual customers within SAP capabilities.
- Manage customer-specific pricing agreements, including quarterly adjustments and compliance reviews.
- Ensure pricing aligns with all contract terms and company standards.
Product & Market Analysis
Review product offerings and develop pricing strategies, including price points, quantity breaks, and scenario modeling.Identify and evaluate new product opportunities that enhance company offerings and profit margins.Support cross-functional teams in product and pricing strategy initiatives.Project Management & Documentation
Maintain contractual documents within CRM / OneDrive for visibility across departments.Potentially act as Project Manager for new business opportunities or cross-functional initiatives.Leverage project management tools to ensure timely execution of deliverables.Key Relationships

Bachelors Degree required (Engineering, Marketing, Business, or Operations).Minimum 4 years overall business experience, including Marketing / Product Management or Manufacturing Operational / Analytical experience.Experience with a metal fabrication company preferred.Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP or similar ERP database experience preferred. Strong Excel skills required.Outstanding communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts in a concise, understandable way to diverse audiences.Developed financial literacy and strong business acumen.Ability to work independently and proactively toward corporate or department goals.Ability to lead through influence in nontraditional organizational structures.Willingness to travel occasionally to customers, vendors, and operational facilities.
