Clinton, Iowa, Hematology / Oncology Physician Job

Clinical Role :

Expect to split time 30 / 70 between Hematology and Medical Oncology

Days Monday-Friday 8 : 00 am-5 : 00 PM + call

After hour calls are by phone only and are very minimal

Practice is attached to the hospital

Currently sees an average of 30 patients per day - patient population is adult and geriatric

New patient visits are allocated 30 minutes and follow-up patients 15 minutes.

Physicians are supported by four RNs, MA, CNA, and a receptionist.

Hospitalists are available to cover infusions, if needed.

Onsite Radiation Oncology is an outreach of the University of Iowa

Strong primary care network of providers to provide a steady stream of internal referrals

Practice in a professionally managed and thriving state-of-the-art facility with full ancillary services

According to the FY22-24 CHNA, through a need differential analysis and steering committee input, cancer was found to be one of the top 8 health needs in the service area. Begun working towards the COC (Commission on Cancer) Accreditation

Not accepting Locums candidates

Not accepting visa candidates

Cannot accept providers who have any malpractice cases that are in Probate or that require supervision. Clean malpractice is preferred
