Job Summary :
This position is responsible for performing inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of heavy equipment and / or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines. Works independently or as a member of a team to provide mechanical services that satisfy customer needs and achieve departmental goals.
Entry-level position – Generally has two or more years of experience and / or demonstrated job-relevant knowledge / skills. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job; works under moderate supervision.

Essential Functions :
Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic equipment malfunctions and failuresPerforms some disassembly and assembly of basic machine components to manufacturer’s specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized toolingPerforms some rebuilding, repairing, reconditioning, and maintenance of equipment and componentsDemonstrates basic knowledge of estimating, planning, and controlling cost of repair jobsCompletes parts orders and identifies parts for returnMaintains all equipment and work areas – keeps in good, clean, and orderly conditionWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standardsWorks overtime as required by workload and customers’ needsUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; e.g., ProTech Technician Training PathsRequires regular and punctual employee attendancePerforms other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
