Certified Surgical Technologist ( CST )

As a CST you will :

Prepare surgical supplies and equipment for scheduled and emergency procedures

Assist in prepping patients, including cleansing and draping surgical sites

Work closely with surgeons and the surgical team during procedures

Maintain accurate instrument and sharps counts

Handle surgical specimens for lab processing

Apply post-procedure dressings and / or casts as needed

A few must-haves for CSTs :

Active  CST license  in the state of Indiana

Current  BLS certification

2+ years  of recent surgical tech experience with EYES

Ability to stay calm under pressure and work both independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in basic vital signs and medication administration
