Registered Nurse - Endoscopy -

Unit Information :

Number of Beds- 4 Endoscopy Procedure Rooms

Number of Staff- Approx25

Type of staff : Day Shift- Primarily RNs, with scrub tech and scope room techs. Night Shift- on call only

Patient Ratios : Approx20-30 patients through the department each weekday

Type of equipment- Olympus scopes, Provation procedural documentation

EMR : Meditech

List typical procedures performed on unit(s) : EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP Bronchoscopy

Requirements -

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS : BLS, ACLS.

All RNs are trained to admit patients, circulate and scrub in procedural cases, recover and discharge patients

Must have : 2 years of RN experience

Preferred or nice to have : PACU or ICU experience preferred, but not required

Best personality Fit : Fast-paced, multi-tasker, Quick learner, Comfortable in frequently changing situations, Team- oriented

Floating Areas : Rare

Dress Code : Hospital issued scrubs- surgical attire policy. No visible piercings

Weekends and on call (if any) : Week day and weekend call required for all staff, including PRN.
