Description :

This position is for a stepdown / PCU RN on a night shift.

The RN will care for patients with complex medical conditions.

Nurses on this unit must manage a diverse patient population effectively.

Daily caseloads are typically 4 patients per nurse.

Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.

Floating to different units may occur as needed.

Interdisciplinary support includes services such as respiratory therapy and pharmacy.

The RN will utilize telemetry monitoring while providing patient care.

Required skills include the management of dysrhythmias and post-operative care.

Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is essential.

All candidates must demonstrate infection control practices and wound care management.

The unit operates at a fast pace, requiring efficient and effective nursing practices.

Overall, candidates must be adaptable to meet the varied demands of patient care.
