ROHM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales Manager . The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our market presence in the Southwestern US territory with a heavy emphasis in the automotive segment. This role requires a strategic mindset that can work across all levels within large organizations, a deep understanding of semiconductor products and technologies, as well as strong sales and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets, design wins and expand our customer base in Southern California and outlying areas.
  • Identify and engage with potentail customers, understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to provide customers with comprehensive product knowledge and support.
  • Negotiate significant annual and long-term agreements.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, presentations and market analysis to senior management.
  • Input, maintatin and track all opportunitites using CRM platform.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline. An MBA is a plus.
  • 4+ year of Semiconductor experience or related technology industry experience.
  • Automotive electronics experience is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of power electronics, power management, automotive ADAS, infotainment, and body electronics.
  • Strong oral and written communication to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Understand ROHM's products, manufacturing processes, systems and infrastructure
  • Manage time, prioritize, and focus on completing tasks with minimal to no supervision.
  • Travel domestic and international about 30%+
  • Work onsite as required
  • Bilingual Japanese language skills a plus but not required
