The UCSF at ZSFG Department of Radiology performs over 200,000 studies yearly and professional fee income from clinical activities constitutes a significant percentage of the department's funding. The department's financial stability is dependent on efficient processes within our billing and revenue cycle.
Under the supervision of the ZSFG Radiology Site Director, the Revenue Program Manager is responsible for organizing and maintaining an efficient flow of activity for the department's revenue cycle. Analytical thinking is necessary for success in this position, as well as the ability to pivot quickly between duties.
Responsibilities include management of the department's revenue cycle, serving as a major collaborator with the UCSF Clinical Practice Group (CPG) and UCSF Health, managing coder productivity and removing any obstacles, managing meetings with stakeholders, triaging questions from coders, department and CPG and other ad hoc groups, troubleshooting issues with charges, implementing new payor processes, analyzing and creating reports for presentation to department leadership, and serving as an active partner with department leadership and other groups. Because of the fluid nature of the revenue cycle, ad hoc projects and other activity may arise.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $91,600 - $139,700 (Annual Rate).

Department Description
The Department of Radiology is one of the largest departments in the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), generating more than $70 million in professional fee revenues each year, and annual grant awards of $40-60 million. The missions of the department include research, teaching, and patient care. The department operates across six sites in San Francisco. Major activities of the department include general radiology, mammography, interventional radiology, CT, MRI, ultrasound, abdominal and cardiac imaging.
