Supplier Performance Specialist
The Supplier Performance Specialist (SPS) will be responsible for identifying bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and acting as a liaison technical lead, utilizing expert problem-solving skills while building effective working relationships with all Functional Groups, (including, but not limited to Procurement, Supplier Development, Engineering, Quality, Production, New Product Introduction, Transitions as well as sub-tier support) to improve supplier deliveries. The SPS would also support production rate improvement projects across all PW programs.
The SPS leads and coordinates the operational aspects of developed projects and serves as liaison between the supplier, and the commodity team by assessing part issues and developing resolutions to meet production throughput, productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives through collaboration with the Delivery Assurance Manager, Supplier Development Managers and Supplier Development Leaders.
What you will do :
- Identify Bottleneck / Capacity Constraints that will be used to develop improvement and mitigation plans for improved on time delivery from suppliers
- Acquire a vision of the big picture and understand that enhancing operational effectiveness is key to organizational business performance
- Develop a strong understanding of the products and the operational processes they go through at the suppliers you will be working with.
- Ability to generate and gain opportunities to break functional, operational, & logistical barriers faced with getting products out the door.
- Reveal and work to remove barriers to business goals specific to the on-time delivery of parts.
- Effectively driving tasks / projects to completion which includes Leading Indicator (LI) data collection : RM availability and on order, WIP tracking, Quality notification closures, and Sub-Tier supplier tracking.
- Working with multiple projects and interact with several departments and various levels of management simultaneously
- Manage / assist with process improvement projects, prioritizes project work, and support the needs of CORE operating system
- Utilizes project management approach and process improvement discipline to lead projects according to plan, including identifying and mitigating project risks
- Gather feedback and work to identify new improvement projects in conjunction with Supplier Development Leaders
- Will be an active participant in Commodity Days, EMMs and SEMO (Supplier Exec Management Overviews), and Co-lead with our customers and Supplier Development Leaders on the respective Supplier Business Reviews
- Home base location in the West Palm Beach area
- On-site and travel to suppliers is up to 60% of your time
Basic Qualifications :
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of experience; or an advanced degree with 3 years of experience.Home base location in the West Palm Beach areaU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract.Preferred Qualifications :
