Japanese machine tool company is seeking Pneumatic System Field Service Engineer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Installation of large multi-axis machining centers at customer facilities.
- On-site troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, & hydraulic systems.
- Assembly and disassembly of machine components.
- High and low voltage wiring for machines and auxiliary components.
- Install and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluids plumbing on machine.
- Trouble shooting of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic related issues.
- Trouble shooting of control and servo related issues from the CNC control.
- Perform machine alignment using electrical and mechanical gauges.
- Test run and check of machine function.
- Function as a team member with others inside and outside the organization.
- Communicate with customer and direct supervisor on progress related to machine repair / install.
- Document service reports for work performed for customer and supervisor.
- Maintain weekly expense reports.
- Create repair procedures.
- Provide technical phone support for customers.
- Able to travel up to 75% to customer facilities throughout the US.
- Possess valid US driver’s license and able to rent a car.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Technical / vocational school certificate or associate degree or equivalent experience in mechanical / electrical assembly or repair.Pneumatic experience a plus.
3-5 years machine tool assembly or servicing including strong mechanical, and electrical testing and debugging. Must have threeyears proven experience with metal cutting machine tools.
Field Service experience required. Must have basic electrical wiring / testing experience.【Business Trips】
