OUR CLIENT'S MECHANICAL ENGINEER II WILL :
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Camden officeDesign effective, energy-efficient systems for healthcare facilities, academic institutions, and corporate research facilitiesUse various programs to analyze load calculations and energy modelingReview HVAC drawings for technical accuracySupport construction administration as needed by performing site surveys, attending pre-bid meetings, and providing field construction supportTEAM COLLABORATION :
Support project managers, senior engineers, and designers in designing HVAC systems for clients' unique needs and successfully executing initiativesEnsure projects comply with all parameters (budgets, client specifications, departmental standards, etc.)Communicate with architects and facility ownersDirect and lead less experienced engineers during projects and implement training programsAssist with proposal development, client management, and project executionDO YOU BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS?
BS in mechanical engineeringProfessional engineer (PE) license OR currently working towards licensure5+ years of professional, progressive experience in the US (preferably in the Tri-State area) in designing mechanical or HVAC systems for laboratory or critical care facilitiesExperience using load analysis and energy modeling programs (eQUEST, Trane TRACE, ENERGY STAR, Carrier HAP, etc.)Experience executing and implementing a design project with Autodesk AutoCAD or RevitExperience in building information modeling (BIM)Strong knowledge of local, state, and national codes, including NFPA and Joint MeetingAbility to prepare presentations and explain technical information in simple termsTime management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent in-person English communication skillsCollaboration skillsAuthorization to work in the US without sponsorshipThe ideal Mechanical Engineer II is also knowledgeable about the USGBC LEED rating system and standards.
