Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across all age groups, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and manage ventilators and oxygen therapy as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and evaluate patients respiratory status, documenting all care and changes accurately.
Respond promptly to emergency situations, including Code Blue and Rapid Response events.
Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and pulmonary function testing.
Assist in the care of patients requiring mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory support.
Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures and home equipment use when necessary.
Maintain equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness according to hospital and infection control standards.
Qualifications :
Active Respiratory Therapist License in the state of Georgia (or Compact License if applicable).
RRT or CRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS or NRP preferred).
Minimum 12 years of recent experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Benefits :
Competitive hourly pay : $50$54 / hr (W2)
Travel and contract extension opportunities available.
