What do you need for this Director of Accounting role?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

15+ years of cost, inventory, and / or manufacturing accounting experience

Advanced Excel

MUST have public company experience

MUST be willing to be interactive and to engage with various people throughout the organization

MUST be willing to travel What will you do in this Director of Accounting role?

Oversee all financial operations at location, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, asset oversight, and preparation of regular financial statements.

Take full ownership of plant accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording of production costs and adherence to internal control standards.

Collaborate closely with plant leadership to support operational decision-making and improve overall business performance.

Drive identification and implementation of cost reduction initiatives and efficiency enhancements.

Perform in-depth evaluations of financial outcomes and capital spending proposals.

Assess profitability patterns and provide input on operational strategies to support margin improvements.

Guide and support accounting team members.

Provide financial education to plant staff.

Serve as a primary contact for audits and maintain communication with both internal and external financial stakeholders.

Ensure all activities align with corporate authority guidelines and approval structures.

Foster positive working relationships.

Champion and assist in applying lean manufacturing principles and employee-driven initiatives.

Guarantee alignment with all company accounting policies and public reporting obligations.
