Position Summary :
The Host / Hostess is responsible for providing efficient service while creating memorable experiences for our members and guests, as they are the first and last impressions of our guests. The host(ess) greets each member and guest with energy, enthusiasm, and a friendly demeanor. This position has a direct impact on the overall experience of our members and guests and is responsible for ensuring member / guest satisfaction from the moment the member walks into any of our dining venues until they leave the venue.
Responsibilities :
- Greet and direct members / guests in person accordingly at Host stand by name when possible.
- Answer all calls coming into host desk assist answering question or direct calls accordingly.
- Manage member reservations utilizing Northstar and Sevenrooms software.
- Update reservations software correctly with seating flow in real time for informational data.
- Listen to and reply to all voicemails at the beginning of every shift.
- Ensure proper menus are being utilized one day in advance.
- Ensure F&B menu covers are wiped and cleaned daily.
- Call and confirm all reservations for the following day, working with the concierge desk to ensure all shifts are confirmed.
- Take to-go orders at host stand when requested by members.
- Be attentive to members needs ensuring you are paying attention to the floor at all times.
- Remain on the floor and visible to members, thanking members for dining with us as they depart.
- Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
- Maintain host stand areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Clean all monitors at workstation and digital screens in area.
- Refill welcome candies, kids’ menus and any other items used on a daily basis.
- Work with kitchen team to ensure proper labels are created and displayed for buffets.
- Ensure proper seating of tables to assist with flow to service staffing on floor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment / Physical Demands :
Tasks will be performed indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to hot, humid temperatures.Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, turn, climb, stand and lift up to 50 pounds.Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.Moderate noise level in the work environment.Repetitive motion required including computer entry.Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :
Must be flexible and able to work a varying schedule; including evening, weekend, and holidays required as job duties demand.
Requirements & Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED required.Previous Country Club experience preferred, but not required.Prior use of reservation software preferred.Possesses a desire to provide outstanding member service.Excellent attention to detail.Friendly, energetic, and highly motivated.Strong organizational skills.Ability to multi-task, reasoning, problem solving, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Intermediate knowledge of computer applications : Microsoft Suite, along with the ability to understand and use social media sites, and POS.Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Must have a friendly and welcoming personality.The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required in this position.
