PURPOSE

Typical assignments of pre-apprentices may include, but are not limited to, material handling, loading and unloading, set-up, staging, clean-up and site organization. These tasks must be performed under the direct supervision of a journeyman. Additionally, a pre-apprentice may perform entry-level work with or without hand tools at the direction of his or her supervising journeyman. Pre-apprentices are traditionally not permitted to operate heavy equipment, welders, or work on energized electrical work or perform layout or design services. Performs related work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• All employees are responsible for following safety rules and common sense safety practices at all times
• Clean work area (pick up trash, sweep, organize) and restock supplies and materials
• Deliver tools, materials or equipment
• Stage materials
• Clean company vehicles
• Accurate daily time and equipment reporting
